    The great thing about No-Job life is that they can never go back and take that time away from you. Even if it is totally unsustainable, it is still a huge win to be free for even a year or so in the flower of youth.

    Those tards aren't going to do anything regardless. If they are working the job just becomes the all-purpose excuse for not having "energy" or "having time" to do anything. Yet even when they have leisure, somehow nothing happens!

    I'll be a wagie forever. Why? I have little wish to open a school. Too much shite. I've also gone through a lot of income insecurity and randomness the last 10 years which makes me value a predictable pay check higher than others.
    Will I extend myself elsewhere? Yes. I aim to write more, both fiction and eventually some kind of serious heavy book on something like demographics, historical trends or something along those lines. Neither activity is ever going to be motivated chiefly by profit or money, but a mixture of status, expression and realisation.

    @steamed rice

    You have been poasting some fire as of late but I'm still on the fence. Can you do a little show and prove to let me and anyone else in doubt that you are who you say you are? I want to believe that you are Mr. HNIC clicking those internet buttons and living like Patrick Bateman. Not asking anything that will get you doxxed I just need to see!

    My bro was trying to sell me some BTC yesterday. Maybe at the <$15k valuation it would be ok to throw a couple hundred at it. I would like to get into some smaller ones that have a chance to do 1000x, or at least 100x. Seems like the best play for someone that isn't going to study this stuff every day would be to just buy a basket of small ones and let it ride. Put $200 each into 10 different minor cryptos and see what happens. Just let $2k ride for a while and see what shakes out.

    You dumping your btc holdings for this weekend's big launch? I am thinking of getting into cash tomorrow night and see what it looks like after Cboe and CME launch their shit next week.

    I'm looking at a couple smaller coins such as ETHOS and POWR. POWR is only around $0.55USD (what actually matters is how much bitcoin it's worth though). Ethos has some market news coming soon - I think they're just waiting for bitcoin to cool down a little before releasing it. Right now everybody's shitting on altcoins because most people holding alts are losing big time compared to people holding BTC.

    The bitcoin forks?
    Interested to hear what steamed rice has to say about this. How much FUD there's going to be around this is hard to predict.

    Nah, not forks. Cboe and CME are going to start trading futures on btc. Most of the majors aren't going to clear them I don't think, but anyone that is trading this stuff much won't care about clearing through a secondary. When investors can start selling btc futures it could get dicey out there for a while. Or, it could provide another market and add legitimacy to btc. Especially if the futures go the wrong way and guys start covering their positions. Then someone speculated it could lead to ETF for btc. I am just hoping Amazon or Wal-Mart or someone says they are going to start accepting btc.

    Hell, I am just going to let it ride, I am not in this as a safe investment...

    I'll hold for now, I think. I may be wrong but I think bitcoin has legs for a bit longer. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a big sell off in early January as everyone has to sell BTC to pay down credit card debt from Christmas and New Years. And then boom, I double down and buy "cheap". Cheap will probably be 12k, lol.

    Why?

    If you buy an alt coin and it jumps in price (USD), even if BTC jumps more, you've still won.
