I lifted in I guess a semi-fasted state (yesterday was just a bunch of eggs and sausage plus chicken thighs in the afternoon, nothing today before the workout) but felt pretty energetic, I moved through the workout at a decent deliberate pace and felt strong (for me, anyway). I suppose that means I'm fairly fat-adapted at the moment.
I've been neglecting direct core stuff, I planned on doing planks throughout the day when I have a spare few minutes, but haven't really. I'll try to start doing that maybe three times a day and see how that feels.
Well yesterday I had a fairly intense high energy workout and felt awesome all day and today I feel like I'm getting sick. I get sick like literally once every five years and then just barely, I wonder if I blew my immune system working out? Maybe I need some carbs around lifting time or something.
I'm going to overdose on sauerkraut, chicken noodle soup, and vitamin C and T Bomb has soon as I get home and then go to bed.
Still sick, did light squats on Wednesday just to stretch but that's it. I haven't eaten much of anything, not much of an appetite. I'm not dreadfully sick, just enough to not want to do anything I don't have to do.
This cold is almost gone but lingering, today I made beef chili with tons of onions, peppers, and garlic, plus extra cayenne and cumin, to try and drop an atomic bomb on it and eradicate for good.
Finally worked out today, I just did some light chest and shoulders. I didn't do much of anything the last two weeks except sleep way more than I usually do. Current weight 259 (down 13 pounds) and waist right at 40 inches (down 2 1/2 inches).
I still haven't had anything but a few light workouts, this plague or whatever I have is still lingering and I don't want to make it worse. I'll try to get to bed early tonight and load up on NOxplode in the morning and see what happens.
I know the feeling.. I've been lucky to lift every third day.
Finally had a proper workout, I did a bunch of dips, some DB incline press and pushups, upright rows and Rudy laterals, and some tricep stuff. No stamina and I feel a little queasy but overall better than nothing. Bodyweight is 258 and the waist is right at 40 inches.
The last few weeks were hectic but now everything is back to normal, I need to get back in a groove. Did chest, shoulders, and triceps today, will be doing back and biceps tomorrow.
I did a bunch of lower weight, short rest period pulldowns with various grips, some EZ bar curls, and then a sad version of burpees.
Deadlifts, worked up to 405
Lat Pulldowns with 180
Barbell Rows with 185
Ez Curl with 80
Seated Incline DB Curls with 45
Preacher Curls EZ Bar with 50
Seated Calf Raises
This morning was chest, shoulders, triceps, five sets of dips, followed by a bunch of higher rep, short rest push-ups, DB presses, upright rows with Rudy laterals, and some french press and rope pull-downs.
This afternoon I was planning on doing squats for sets of three with as much weight as I could, but while warming up, I was using 225 and pleasantly surprised at how light it felt, when just that quick I felt a pop in my upper abs/obliques. I guess I was thinking of the next set instead of my current rep like an idiot, so no more squats. It's fine now, a little tight, so I may try again tomorrow if it's OK.
The abs were still tight yesterday so I did a bunch of lat pulldowns of various grips, higher reps and short rest period. Not a ton of weight but a good pump and stretch.
Last night instead of watching the Superbowl I played hockey for the first time in five years.
Yup either you can do or watch others do.
DB shoulder presses, shoulder felt good
EZ upright rows
Front, side, and rear DB raises
Flat bench and incline bench DB presses
French press, Tricep pressdown, DB kickbacks
4 sets of each
Separate names with a comma.
