Pick any three musicians or musical groups and eliminate them from history and give your reasons why.

I will personally take back FM Classic Rock and force Americans to break away from the same tired hits with my selections. Without letting go of the old we'll never see demand for something good and new.

Band #1: Pink Floyd. Kaboom! No more of their droning pothead BS on the radio ever again. There was nothing cutting edge about them when they were together and relevant and it's even goofier now. Go away forever Pink Floyd nobody likes you except for 50somethings who still smoke weed and wear your t-shirts to the bank thinking they're still "a little rebellious."

Band #2: Queen. Sorry folks but they're the most overplayed of anyone, their time has come. I know there's more talent here than so many other groups I could have picked but they've worn out their welcome, put their discography in a time capsule if you'd like but they need to be left behind for now. It wouldn't be so bad if they played more than their Top 5 songs but that will NEVER happen.

Band #3: Undecided so far ... I'll wait for you guys to chime in and influence my last pick. Many of you will not undertake the cleansing of classic rock quest I have chosen but I know there will be some great suggestions.

I don't know but FM radio has ruined classic rock, there is a lot of good stuff unheard because they keep playing the same 200 songs over and over forever. Sammy Hagar and Steven Van Zandt have late-night radio programs I catch every now and then that play a lot of good rock. I agree with Pink Floyd.

    1. Paul McCartney. Cliched shite, lefty idiotic nonsense and such retarded animal rights stuff he funded a deer sanctuary where they had to shoot half the deer.

    2. John Lennon. Cliched lefty shite. Pussy. Together with number 1 they are also symbols of degeneration. Looked like a tosser. Liked by losers.

    3. I'll wait on this one for now.

Yeah the only DJ's that can get away with 'deep tracks' are actual musicians in the industry. Alice Cooper's show plays a lot of stuff you would never hear otherwise too. None of them get prime slots (commuting hours.)

I've heard them say on one of the local rock stations that their playlist can go only 5 days without repeats. Think about that ... it isn't uncommon for single artists to have 6-8 hours of total songs on their discography.

    Here's a great breakdown, it's quite regional: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-classic-rock-isnt-what-it-used-to-be/

I think I get exposed to this more than most because we have three rock stations, 5+ if you include variety that often plays it. Honestly I don't even like the genre but the classical station likes to have gabby people on and I switch that off immediately. I noticed on my last roadtrip that other areas typically only have 1 rock station (sometimes 2 in major cities) so people are forced to listen to these songs, it's not like here where we've had 3-4 stations my entire life. Most radio in the US is a mix of hip hop and country now.

I'm pretty sure everyone in the Western Hemisphere had heard More Than A Feeling at least once a day since it's been released.

I could do without the Eagles. I like Don Henley and Glenn Frey's 1980s music, and I like Joe Walsh and the James Gang, but enough is enough.

    1. Metallica
    Reason: Fuck'em

    2. Tim McGraw
Reason: I consider Tim McGraw the bridge between great country music and the shit we have now. Tim McGraw was the first really popular country act to push nonsensical songs about hooking up with idealized southern girls and he was the first country act to really start negro-fying his music by doing a crossover song with Nelly (Over and Over). He also started using autotune and overly polished pop sounds in his music. Perhaps he wasn't the first country act to do this stuff but he was the most popular and made it okay for everyone else to start doing it.

    3. Nirvana
Reason: Inspired a whole generation of faggots to make shitty music and idealize nihilistic depression and helped make suicide glamorous.

Agree on Queen. Some songs are OK but Bohemian Rhapsody needs to never be played again.

    AGREE WHOLE HEARTEDLY ON NIRVANA.

Funny everything that's made now except synthwave is utter garbage compared to what's been mentioned so far, but of course we MUST take a big shit on the boomers and genX!

    (1) Sublime - Pothead music

    (2) Nirvana - Heroin music

    (3) Smashing Pumpkins - Heroin music

    1. Lady Gaga- Actually has some songs I like, but is a total degenerate, and encourages others to the same ends.

I would gladly replace Smashing Pumpkins with every late 90s-early 2000s R&B group, I guess I didn't list them because I don't know all their names but I'll go with "Usher" as a typical example. Back when I worked restaurant service every waitress/bar tender/bar manager approaching or on the wrong side of 30 played that shit at closing time. I was witnessing the first generation of white people to embrace wigger culture basking in nostalgia, it was indecent.

Band #1 Deep Purple and this is basically for the same reason as Winbot gave for Queen. It wouldn't be so bad if they played something else than Smoke On The Water or Highway Star from them.

Band #2 Angra. The band that's currently playing under the name Angra has nothing to do with Angra. Anything after Temple of Shadows album is crap and Fabio Lione with his outrageous Italian accent doesn't work as the vocalist for a Brazilian band.

Band #3 Finnish rap. You thought that gangsta rap by wiggers in English is bad. Ha, you don't even know half of it.

    1. Run DMC

    2. Beastie Boys

    3. NWA

If those three groups could have been erased from existence rap music would have never gotten off the ground as a mainstream genre of music, preventing more degeneracy than you can possibly imagine. Even I went through a wigger phase in middle school where I thought it was cool to be a pot smoking, pants sagging, degenerate who thought it was cool to not try in school and do shit that if I was caught today could quite possibly ruin my life. I was more resistant to cultural programming than most, but in my life rap music and boxing were the only things that seemed masculine so it was a one way ticket to wiggerdom for a few years.

Imagine how many impressionable kids could have actually made something of themselves without those influences.

The 90's was a horrible decade for rock music in general.

I'm pretty sure Vanilla Ice had the first #1 true rap hit. He made white people realize rap can be a thing for them too and record companies took note. I strongly believe the entire "gangsta rap" era came from record companies making hip hop extreme specifically for white kids, using rap as a disposable genre to "compete" (though they owned both genres) with grunge.

Googles were not buying albums en masse in the 90's, anyone who has been to the 'hood knows there are dudes everywhere with bootlegs. That was also history's highest price point for music with albums costing $14~ cassette and $18 CD. That's $30 in modern money.

Secondary note here is the emergence of ICP which Vanilla Ice has always been associated with. This happened quite literally a few miles from where I grew up. ICP harnessed the masculinity in rap and created a white community around it. If you were a lower middle class white kid with no father figure, being a Juggalo and having a bunch of buddies watching your back wasn't a bad deal at all.

All of hip hop was reactionary against the wuss rock alternative/grunge crap of the 90's. Look at how fast the black community abandoned rap as soon as it wasn't pushed. If left on their own it never would have happened and would have more quickly become random electronic noise jungle beat bebopping.

Nickelback - the tamest and lamest "rock" music ever

Korn - Depressed loser faggot music I listened to in grade 9

The Tragically Hip and Canadian bands in general - the singer sounds like a bitch and these guys are put on such a huge pedestal for being Canadian even though they completely suck donkey balls!
