Small doses of this stuff in the car driving home. In the morning and late at night I usually put classical on. Total exposure to music: 1hr~ a day. If I could find a podcast that was worth my time I would switch over to that while driving.

I drive quite a bit for work and was listening to the first post-exile Fash the Nation today. I forgot how much research and showprep they put into it compared to Enoch and Sven, it's more informative than TDS. TDS is still cool when Enoch gets angry as hell but other than that it's more or less basic level bullshitting.

No, I get the point of the thread, it's probably the single thread that I think about when not at the computer.

My point is, even if there was new white people music, would you care as much? It is all so trivial.

Yeah even in high school when they still sort of made white people music I wasn't into anything really big. Whenever I heard a song I liked (it was mostly 80s stuff) I looked it up and downloaded it. I was never a big fanboi of any particular band or musical genre though. Never one of those dudes who started a band in his garage/basement. I knew dudes like that and more or less couldn't relate to that part of their lifestyle/interests.

Music is one of the keystones of culture, deny it and another will take its place.

I get tired of particular genres pretty regularly. I have to switch around a good bit. I like music if I am not doing something that requires much concentration. If I am doing something that requires concentration I put on either classical or quiet. When I drive I usually have nothing on. I sometimes listen to podcasts, but that seems like a waste of brain energy these days.

I still listen to shitloads of music, I love it too much to ever give it up. Sometimes I go for a half hour stretch without playing anything in the car but I've generally got something cranked.

I have only ever turned a car radio on once. Horrible idea. I want to hear the car.

I make sure to play 80's hair-metal as loud as I can, in an effort to decuck anyone within hearing, or at least offend those beyond redemption.

When the 80's was at its best, it had an other world quality too it. I understand this music was the past, but it doesn't feel like the past, or the future, it feels like someone made it for a movie or a time that never really happened.

Synthwave alone proves him wrong. And Geoff Tate of Queensryche is a better vocalist.

Bad movie, but good song. McDonald was the poster boy for mature boomers with good tastes whose memories of Woodstock were almost completely buried, only to be unfortunately revived around the mid 90s.
