We need to compile the sugar industry scandals and secrets for distribution. The low-fat diet meme is still RAMPANT among the American population especially the 40+ crowd. A few well crafted memes could potentially save the lives of hundreds if not thousands of {middle class Americans} if it gets them to look into what's really going on.

I was having a conversation the other day about how they drive panic buying, since they are retired, and have nothing better to do than wait at Academy or Sportsmans Warehouse until the .22 gets put on the shelves. Just a few old guys with pensions were the reason I never saw a single box of .22LR during 2 and a half years of college. Ended up just selling my .22 pistol.

Also, the real reason .22 prices will never recover is that before 2013, basically every ammo company was making .22 at a loss. So the big shortage allowed them to make a correction.

I saw multiple places online with 22lr for <$0.04. Doesn't include shipping. Haven't really looked around in walk in stores lately. I saw bricks at the last gun show for $25.

Teacher is such a good gig if you can swing it and teach a school of functional kids. I don't care how much of a mediocrity normies perceive you as, 7.5 hour days, all holidays off, and 3 months off every year and a phat pension is COMFY
Except that you're always underfunded, forced to deal with dangerous minorities, and have to purchase like 80% of your own classroom supplies. Garbage job, I don't know why anyone would do it.

Year round employment is an atrocity!
To get back on topic regarding this ...

BOOMERS are offended by seasonal work to the point of visible anger. They are captivated by the possibility of this anger as well. As soon as one finds out what I do for a living they immediately start grilling me on the off-season. I've found that if I say I immediately go back to doing [random miserable job] they're happy to hear the news but if I mention pursuing interests or goals or spending time with family the buttmad is immediately activated.

My current theory is that the boomer hivemind operates as an entity that believes there is finite comfy in the world and when others get a slice of it (even if it isn't actual "comfy" but as that is their universal goal, that's how they perceive all other goals) it's being stolen away from them in turn. I think money is a component too, like it's considered a brag that you aren't forced to work every week of the year and you're rubbing it in their face.

My parents were taken aback when I told them I wanted to work less, it was like if they told their parents they were queer or atheist or something.

Just negotiating to move job again due to this. I don't need to spend 1.5 to 2 hours per day outside my contract at work just to show how "positive and co-operative" I am. I work because I need money, not because I love sitting around doing shit. I actually enjoy the teaching time, it's just the rest of the job that I try to minimise.
It's also seasonal and I have unpaid holiday (i.e. no work) for around 10 weeks a year if in Italy, and around 16 weeks a year when in Poland.

Boomer parents will just say "you should settle down, get on with people, that's just how work is". When you can see a job is solely going to rob you of all your time 5 days a week, stress you over the weekend and become an exercise in how much shit you can tolerate, why stay? After moving like a gypsy for 15 years that's not such a worry any more.

There are always some, the utopia you mention does not exist. The funding issue is constant though. Teacher's always have to furnish their own classrooms
You have demonstrated to me in several of your posts over the last few days that (1) you have low reading comprehension; (2) you can't use apostrophes correctly; (3) you generally do not know what your are talking about.

Please THINK before hitting "post reply."
