I've been doing a lot of running lately. Primarily I want to increase my energy levels, and by extension my willpower/motivation. Trying to keep the pace of my 10 minute runs between my VO2 max (~8 minute max speed) and my lactate threshold (~20 minute max speed).
My progressive overload for the foreseeable future is coming from increasing treadmill incline, which should make it easier on the knees. I also think it will be a little better for maintaining leg strength (than if I was increasing speed).
Also been doing cold showers, both for the motivation/energy effect, and out of necessity to avoid sweating through my work shirt for a half an hour after my workout.
