Held off talking about this here for a while but I've been specifically targeting rehabbing all of my injuries the past two months, very benign exercising, combined with being off work I feel like I've recovered big time, maybe 90%+.

Since I will officially be an old person tomorrow why not chronicle the next phase of training? I'm doing absolutely nothing tonight but eating thanksgiving dinner #3 so nothing to report at the moment. This training log will also include all of my odd food+supplement habits so I don't muck up other threads with it.

Base plan: Hit 170lbs whatever it takes, combo of training to failure and eating to failure. Out of this failure will come success, there is no other option. I have unlimited resources to make this happen (for now) so that's the plan. Once 170 is reached I'll be immediately going for 175 but at that point I'll also come up with a more specific plan and, gasp, looking at local gyms.

Get in your car now, drive to Maryland, and I will have you over 170lb before the weekend is over with.

Already stuffed to the brim, just ate ice cream and leftovers! The eternal conflict: filling up with food hurts workouts but not eating is an immediate weight loss.

Can you competently do the big three, on an unrelated note, how to feel about milk in one gallon intervals...

Haven't done traditional free weights in a proper setting in 6+ years. Milk is gross unless you can get raw milk. I still eat cottage cheese though as a filler snack between meals, maybe 6-8oz/day.

DB time with 35's all til failure

    Rows - 3 sets

    Shoulder press - 2 sets

One arm rows with offhand supporting - 2 sets

Calf raises for stretching, slow reps - 1 set

6 egg cheesy omelet, pot of coffee, hating the universe right now about to throw the TV in the living room into the woods and shoot arrows at it, making 3lbs of ground beef and ketchup later

Tonight will be a repeat of this

Pushups, situps, shrugs, calf raises, DB C&J, finish with DB squats, all til failure

Big turkey and hamburger lunch, cheesy potatoes, been eating like crazy but lost 1.2lbs this week which is frustrating!

Terrible training today but I got a 40lb band and worked on my bad shoulder (right side) which is finally not creaky at all.

Shoveled snow off a parking lot

been using my pullup bar on the ground to do pushups (since I can't hang it up anymore), thought it would be way easier with my upper half inclined up a bit but having to grip the bar more than makes up for it. I also enjoy having straight wrists the whole time seems to let me last longer til failure.

Thinking about cutting way back on carbs, something is giving me major energy crashes.

Breakfast: egg omelet, bacon, pot of coffee
second breakfast: hot dogs and french fries
    lunch: turkey, spinach, apple cider

DB rows 3 sets til failure
DB C&J 5 sets til failure

Situps aggravate my rib and make me want to die I need to figure out a way around this

Push up day, do not read this post unless you listen to this

Mixing it up with raised and not, may go for the pull up bar on the ground the grip angle changes everything. There's no way I can hit the 50 trophy but multiple sets of less doesn't seem to be a problem. Hmmm!

Tied for my max ever weight @ 167lbs, time to get to 170 before the new year! Ate breaded pork chops and broccoli for dinner but we all know that won't be enough so I'm working on some faygo and a peanut butter sandwich too.

Oh man I think I've OD'd on food this past month. While everyone else is doing their diet on Jan 1st I think I'm going to back off UNTIL then, at which point I can eat everything in sight again. I've been stuffing myself so often I haven't felt hunger since mid-november. It starts to make food be nothing but a chore. I walked fast with the dog about 3.5 miles yesterday and was winded at the end!

Incline push ups, squats, calf raises today. This is probably a bad habit but having a drink or two first definitely keeps me focused on a workout.

I've been doing good lately my legs are so out of shape though. Weighted calf raises = want to do. Goblet squats = want to die
